She is told to get her father, Hershel, by Maggie. Hope is on the porch with maggie, and sees Rick running towards the house with a shot carl in his arms. Nothing is known about Hope prior to the outbreak, other than she attended the local high achool. She's also shown to have a caring side when she checks on Erka at the end of "Bloodletting", telling her that of she needed someone to talk that she'd be available. In "Bloodletting", she's shown to be very calm under high stress situation as seen when she's asked to gather some things for her father, Hershel. Much like her older sister, Beth, Hope is very shy and soft-spoken and attended the local high with her.
